Qurricular vs NotebookLM

You can still upload your own notes to Qurricular and ask Ryder about them. If you have great notes and want to study them in new ways, NotebookLM is a joy. If you want your board's syllabus, verified questions and a plan ready from day one, Qurricular saves you the setup.

#Is NotebookLM now called Gemini Notebook?

Yes. Google renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook in July 2026, as reported by Android Authority and Mobility Arena. It stays a standalone app and also links with the Gemini app. Google's own help pages now use the new name. We use "NotebookLM" on this page because that is what most students search for.

#Qurricular vs NotebookLM: how do they compare side by side?

As of October 2026, here is the comparison for a Pakistani board student. NotebookLM figures come from Google's help pages or press reports; limits change, so check Google's site.

#What is NotebookLM better at than Qurricular?

NotebookLM is better at turning a pile of your own material into study aids. You add PDFs, notes or links, and it answers with citations to your sources, so you can see exactly where an answer came from.

• Audio Overviews turn your sources into a podcast-style discussion, available in Urdu and many other languages. Great for revising on the bus.
• Video Overviews turn sources into short narrated videos.
• Flashcards and quizzes, added in September 2025, let you test yourself on your own notes. Press reports say flashcards became editable in 2026.

If your teacher's handouts or your own handwritten notes are your main material, NotebookLM handles them very well.

#What is Qurricular better at than NotebookLM for board exams?

Qurricular is better when you want the board's syllabus ready without uploading anything.

1. Syllabus already loaded. About 3,800 FBISE learning outcomes, chapter notes and a Quest path unit by unit.
2. Verified board-pattern practice. 20,000+ FBISE MCQs, short and long questions, and full papers in the Federal Board's pattern. Pair them with our guide on how to use past papers.
3. Your own notes too. Upload notes, PDFs, Word or PowerPoint files and photos and ask Ryder about them, in English or Urdu.
4. A plan and a habit. A planner from your date sheet, streaks and weekly leagues.
