The short answer
Qurricular for parents, in one line: Qurricular is a board exam prep app for Pakistani students from Class 9 to A Level, designed to be safe for teenagers, with no one-to-one private messages, invite-only study groups of up to 8 friends and moderation for bullying. Your child's plan, streak and chapter mastery are easy to check, and there is a free plan.

Is Qurricular safe for my child?
Qurricular is built for students aged about 14 to 19, so safety is part of the design, not an add-on:
- No one-to-one private messages. Students cannot privately message each other or strangers.
- Invite-only study groups. A study group has at most 8 members, and you can only join by invitation from a friend.
- Moderation. Group messages are checked for bullying and unsafe content.
- Block and report. Any student can block or report another user.
The AI study partner, Ryder, stays on your child's syllabus: it explains topics, makes practice sets and writes notes.
Can I see my child's progress?
Yes. Open Qurricular with your child and look at three things:
- The study plan. Qurricular reads the official board datesheet and plans each week back from the first paper. If your child misses a day, the plan adjusts.
- The streak. A daily streak shows whether studying is happening every day.
- Chapter mastery. Mastery for each chapter shows which topics are strong and which need more practice.
Students also see study time, questions answered and accuracy per subject, which gives you something specific to talk about at dinner instead of "parhai ho rahi hai?"
How much does Qurricular cost compared with an academy?
Qurricular costs between PKR 0 and PKR 5,000 a month. Students we spoke to told us they spend around PKR 15,000 a month on tuition and academies.
| Option | Monthly cost (PKR) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Qurricular Free | 0 | Every feature, with daily limits |
| Qurricular Plus | 3,000 | About 3 to 4 hours of study a day; 7-day free trial |
| Qurricular Pro | 5,000 | About 5 to 7 hours a day, plus mentorship |
| Academy or tuition | Varies (around 15,000 reported by students we spoke to) | In-person teaching and a fixed routine |
Academies and good tutors do valuable work, and plenty of students do well with them. Qurricular's advantage is cost and convenience: no travel time, help at any hour, and a large bank of practice questions. Some families use both. Does Qurricular work for children with different needs?
Yes. Accessibility tools are free on every plan:
- Text up to 150% and high contrast
- Dyslexia-friendly and low-vision fonts
- Read aloud in English and Urdu
- Captions and extra time
- Screen reader and keyboard support
Ryder also explains in English or Urdu, at your child's own class level, one step at a time.
What does the free plan include?
The Qurricular Free plan includes every feature with daily limits: the planner, Ryder, practice, virtual labs, streaks and study groups (joining a group is free; starting one needs Plus or Pro). There is nothing to pay to try it. Full prices are on the pricing page.
Which boards does Qurricular cover?
Qurricular has full content for FBISE (Federal Board) Class 9 to 12, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Computer Science, Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat and Urdu. Cambridge O Level, IGCSE, AS and A Level are being added, and the planner reads Punjab board and AKU-EB datesheets. See the FBISE hub for Federal Board details.
